Since its inception in 1986, the Singapore Federation of Chinese Clan Associations (SFCCA) has become a major organisation in the Singapore Chinese community. Its primary objectives are to strengthen cooperation among the clan associations, to organise and support educational, cultural and community activities; and to promote the Chinese language, Chinese culture and traditions.

On 17 September 2011, SUSS signed an MOU with SFCCA to launch a sponsorship programme for SFCCA members to pursue higher education at SUSS. This sponsorship provides assistance to working adults who would like to strengthen their command of the Chinese language and their understanding of the Chinese culture.
